What Else Grows in the Palms of Your Hands follows the routine of two women who merge through the repetition of their actions. Their hands cross and slowly unravel the shared memory of a loving granddaughter. Expect a sober but poetic journey where not only the layers of consciousness are explored, but also the interaction between memories and hands.

We selected eight strong short films for the Belgian Shorts competition. This competition celebrates Afro-Belgian talent and offers a platform to young Belgian filmmakers with African roots. The jury will announce the winner at the Awards Evening on 27 April and will receive a prize of €500, donated by the Africa Museum.
