Change of Plans - PLATFORM K/Femke Gyselinck

In Change of Plans, a co-production with GRIP, choreographer Femke Gyselinck teams up with Zanne Boon and Oskar Stalpaert, dancers at Platform-K, to explore the idea of changeability. Together, they investigate the tension between choreography as a set plan and the fluidity that arises once that plan is put in motion.

Inspired by a line from Billie Eilish’s My Future, in which she reflects on the past and looks hopefully toward the future, the performance examines what happens when we allow plans to change. Not Billie Eilish herself, but musicians Hendrik Lasure (piano, keyboard) and Adia Vanheerentals (saxophone) composed an original score for the piece and will accompany the dancers in their playful search. Here, deviating from the plan is not seen as an act of sabotage, but as a continuous invitation by and between the dancers to reshape the (idea of) choreography.

Time: 20:30 - 21:30
