Filmmakers Esther Carlin and Gustave Demoen share their latest films, the ghost of Mr Bawky and Cyriel in a special screening at KASK Cinema.
Both are intimate stories of connection, grief and loss. In the ghost of Mr Bawky, Esther revisits a fictional film that her father made about the death of his own father, while in Cyriel, Gustave, the best friend Cyriel left behind, spends a year closely following Cyriel’s parents in the idyllic setting of their rural home. The films will be accompanied by a new text by Mona Cornelis.
