The chameleon form

Each event is unique so you might need something different every time. How can you force Pierrot's form to your will?

You all know the classic and default form layout: a simple list of tickets each with a dropdown to specify the amount you want to purchase. But from time to time you may need something else. Maybe your tickets need to be grouped by day or your visitor has to pick one single ticket from a group of tickets. Like chameleons change the colour of their skin colour depending on their surroundings, the Pierrot form also organizes itself differently depending on your requirements.

Here are some alternative layout modes.

LAYOUT A: GROUP TICKETS BY DATE

How can this be achieved? Look for the advanced settings section on your event edit page. Put the "Ticket presentation" on "Group tickets by date" and Pierrot will add a date as a title between the different tickets. The default ticket order will be overruled.

LAYOUT B: GROUP TICKETS BY DATE AND LIMIT THE CHOICE TO 1 TICKET PER GROUP

Same settings as Layout A but with the additional setting "Max 1 ticket per ticket group" activated.

LAYOUT C: ONLY ONE SELECTABLE TICKET

In the advanced settings look for "Max nr of tickets per order" and set it to "Max 1 ticket per registration". Tickets will be presented in a dropdown so the visitor can only select one single ticket.

PS: have you noticed that all of the above forms are "real" forms? That's right, these are all embedded Pierrot forms. Fully customisable to match the look of your own website!
