This document explains our privacy practices and what information we collect when you use our web site located at pierrot.io and related mobile apps (collectively, the “Site”).
What we collect
When you order a ticket we store your email address, firstname and name in our database. We know what tickets you buy and the events for which you ordered any tickets. If you filled in any extra fields that the event organiser required you to fill in, we will also have that information.
Please beware that the event organiser that is using Pierrot to sell tickets also has this information. We cannot control how they use your information. Please refer to their privacy policy for more information about how they handle your data.
When you visit pierrot.io, we may collect and store general, non-identifiable information about what pages you access, your general geographic location (e.g., a city), the device you are using, an anonymized version of your IP address, and the address of web sites that refer you to the Site.
We may use this information to protect pierrot.io and its users from spam, viruses and illegal or harmful activities, as well as to understand how people use the Site, which features work and which don't, and to help us develop and improve the Site's features and services.
We also collect any information you provide us if you choose to contact us directly. We use this information for the purpose you provided it – for instance, to provide support or answer questions.
The Site uses Google Analytics to gather general information about our users behavior. Google may use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the site, compiling reports on site activity for us and providing other services relating to site activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. To the best of our knowledge, the information gathered by Google on pierrot.io’s behalf is collected in such a way that neither pierrot.io, nor Google, can easily trace saved information back to any individual user.
Please be aware that there may be other services that you are using and that are not controlled by pierrot.io (including Google, Google Chrome Web Browser, Android Operating System, and YouTube) that may continue to send information to Google when you use the Site.
Email communication
From time to time we may email you (aka the event organiser) information about pierrot.io that we think is necessary and important. By opening or maintaining an account on pierrot.io, you agree to receive administrative emails as part of your basic service. You can always opt-out of non-administrative emails.
Information sharing
Pierrot.io does not make money from selling advertising on the site, serving ads to you, or selling information about our users to third parties, including advertisers, data brokers, search engines, or anyone else.
Cookies
The Site uses cookies to enable our servers to recognize your web browser and tell us how and when you use the Site. A cookie is a small amount of information that is stored in your web browser, which may contain information about you and the way you use the internet and services like the Site. We use cookies to identify our users, provide automatic login, and personalize your pierrot.io experience. We also may use cookies embedded in emails to help figure out whether anyone is actually reading them. You can turn cookies off on your web browser, but if you do, the Site may not work properly, and in some cases, you may not be able to log into the Site at all. There are many other third party services and web sites that may place cookies in your browser. Our privacy policy only covers our use of pierrot.io cookies, not cookies used by third parties.
Data storage
We are committed to protecting the security of your information. We use a variety of industry-standard security technologies and procedures designed to help protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Despite these measures, you should know that we cannot fully eliminate security risks associated with information and mistakes may happen.
Pierrot.io stores its data on servers run by third parties. We or a third party we work with may keep backups of pierrot.io’s data and code, which may or may not include information that you put on the Site.
Children under 13
The Site is intended for the general public, but is not meant for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Please contact us if you become aware that a child under the age of 13 is using the Site and we will work to remove both the information and the child’s pierrot.io account.
If you are under 13 and would like to order tickets, please ask your parents to buy a ticket for you.
Delete your Pierrot account
If you don't want to sell tickets anymore using Pierrot and you want to delete your account, you can contact us by mail. Send a mail to hi@pierrot.io with the request to delete your account and we will delete it for you.
